Dr Carlo Ferrario

Carlo is an education professional with more than thirty-five years’ experience as a teacher and school leader in British and international schools. He has been the Principal of international schools in the UAE, Italy and Egypt, prior to which he worked in independent education in the UK. His experience covers all-through schools with children from 3 to 18 years, boarding and day schools, single-sex and co-education as well as a range of curricula including the National Curriculum for England and international qualifications  including the International Baccalaureate. As a school governor and senior school leader, Carlo has supported the work of a range of governing bodies for more than twenty years and witnessed a range of practice. He currently serves as Chair of the Board of an international school in Egypt. Drawing on his first-hand experience Carlo offers support to British and international schools on strategic improvement planning, external accreditation, curriculum design, policy formulation and implementation, leadership and governance reviews, appraisal, budgeting, safeguarding and recruitment. He has additionally undertaken reviews and appraisals of schools in preparation for accreditation and compliance.
