It is currently a candidate IB world school, having achieved authorization status for the IB Diploma in 2003 and achieving authorization in the PYP and the MYP in 2023. The ongoing development of ICS necessitates strong, purposeful and inspirational leadership and this vacancy provides a wonderful opportunity for the right person to join the school's talented Senior Leadership Team and develop the Secondary school in line with Globeducate Schools’ mission, values and the Globeducate Platinum Standards framework.

The next Head of Secondary will be an innovative and inspirational leader at the head of a team of skilled and dedicated professionals through grades 6-12. They will work closely with the Secondary Leadership Team, the SLT and the Head of School, in developing the Vision of the school and leading by example. A knowledge of the IB and the IB philosophy is a key component of this role as is the Head being an exemplary instructional leader.

The next Head of Secondary will be a strong, empathetic communicator who is able to establish connections with staff, students and families. They will be a strong collaborator with both staff and the SLT and a key partner in the ongoing strategic development of ICS Paris. They will model a lifelong love of learning and believe that every student can succeed and every teacher is responsible for making that happen. They will be a positive role model for the Vision of ICS Paris and ensure that the Vision becomes a reality.
