Charterhouse Lagos, part of the prestigious Charterhouse family of schools founded in 1611, is setting a new standard for education in Nigeria and West Africa. As the first British independent school to open a sister school in the country, its launch in September 2024 was a high-profile event.
The immense challenge of opening a new school required the appointment of a founding senior leadership team that was not only world-class but also adaptable, visionary, and courageous. These leaders needed to embody the ethos of the Charterhouse heritage while also being prepared to bravely tackle challenges and set ambitious targets for students and staff.

LSC Education was invited by the Board of Governors to partner with them a year before the school's launch. Our role was to serve as their executive search partner, building a founding senior leadership team with the right blend of experience, values, and vision.
Our bespoke approach ensured that every aspect of the search was tailored to the unique needs of a new, high-profile school. Since the initial engagement, we have worked closely with the Board to appoint key leaders, including the Director of Teacher Training and Professional Development, the Head of Primary, the Head of Secondary, and the Head of Sixth Form.
