Stephanie is a highly experienced and successful Headteacher from the UK. She has lived in the Middle East for the past 3 years and recently moved to China. Stephanie’s first senior leadership post was at Cotham School in Bristol, UK and then from 2005 to 2012 she was Headteacher of St. Katherine’s School, a 11-18 mixed comprehensive school with 1,000+ pupils in North Somerset.
During this time, St Katherine’s School achieved many awards and accolades, including High Performing Specialist School Status, the Challenge Award in recognition of its work with gifted, talented and able learners and it was the first secondary school in the UK to receive the Food for Life Gold Award. Stephanie chaired the Heads and North Somerset Association (HANS) - primary, secondary and special school leaders with local authority officers - and she worked with others Heads to plan, deliver and facilitate their annual residential conferences.
She has led large training events and workshops, including developing a programme for aspiring middle and senior leaders. She is an accredited NCSL Professional Partner and was trained by the National College to provide support and coaching to new Headteachers. In 2012, Stephanie moved with her husband, who is also a Headteacher, to Qatar, where he took up the post of leading one of the Gulf’s largest international schools. They then moved to China in 2016 when her husband took up the post of leading one of China’s most prestigious British international schools.
